Premier League: Liverpool 4-0 Manchester United: Player Ratings today

Liverpool were at their fluent best on Tuesday evening as they humiliated Manchester United to a 0-4 defeat.

The trio of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz were at the peak of their powers to outshine United.

With only a handful of games to go, Liverpool, are looking title-hungry and United look like a shadow of their own as we take a look at player ratings.

Liverpool Players

Alisson: Alison was silent throughout the first half, apart from one or two regulation saves the Brazilian was hardly tested.

Player Ratings – 7/10

Alexander Arnold: The right-back was doing his regulation job and kept his cool, Alexander Arnold didn’t ask too many questions in terms of attack but he was immaculate in defense as always.

Player Ratings – 7/10

Andy Robertson: Important role in the third goal and proving to be Jurgen Klopp’s most reliable asset, Andy Robertson was seen sprinting from the left flank and ultimately proved to be the difference-maker in the defense.

Player Ratings – 8/10

Virgil Van Dijk: The Dutchman showed why he is one of the best in the business by stamping his authority on the game. Keeping Marcus Rashford silent for the majority of the game and Jesse Lingard away from goal was done with ease by Van Djik.

Player Ratings – 7.5/10

Joel Matip: The Cameroonian is proving to be an unsung hero for the Reds as Joel Matip stood like a wall. There were one or two instances where Liverpool's defense was stretched, but Matip did his day job perfectly.

Player Ratings – 7.5/10

Jordan Henderson: The Liverpool skipper did put in shifts and was the X-factor when it came to controlling the flow of the game. Jordan Henderson anchored the midfield as he always does giving the opposition no chance of dictating the game.

Player Ratings – 7.5/10

Fabinho: The Brazilian was another player who was playing free-flowing football; Fabinho’s role was to stop the United midfield from making any significant passing. Fahinho stood to his task and made sure there was no rush for Liverpool to walk away with three points.

Player Ratings – 7/10

Thiago Alcantara – The Spaniard was one of the top draws and bossed the game in the midfield putting in shifts after shifts. Thiago was given a standing ovation by the crowd for putting in important passes and highlighting why he is one of the best in the business.

Player Ratings – 9/10 (Player of the Match)

Luis Diaz: The Colombian has adjusted well to the life in Premier League, the former Porto man rounded off United for the first goal and assisted Sadio Mane for the third to complete the perfect outing.

Player Ratings – 8.5/10

Sadio Mane: The Senegal international scored a brace on weekend and continued his exploits with an assist to Salah, which was out of the world. Mane didn’t stop there as he scored in the 68th minute to compile misery on United.

Player Ratings – 9/10

Mohamed Salah: Six games without a Premier League goal and no game better to pick the form, Mohamed Salah ended with a brace and an assist to Luis Diaz. Ruthless and relentless across the park Salah enjoys playing against United as he has five goals against them in the Premier League this season.

Player Ratings – 9/10

Manchester United Players

David De Gea: The United goalkeeper had to pick up the ball four from the net and that doesn't make good reading. De Gea didn’t do too much wrong but his team and defense let him down.

Player Ratings – 5/10

Phil Jones: The England star was given a rare start, one which he will look to forget. The defender looked out of ideas in front of the Liverpool attacking trio. Lackluster and fragile at the back is the best possible description for Phil Jones.

Player Ratings – 3.5/10

Harry Maguire: All over the place and not in the best possible form, Harry Maguire had yet another day to forget at the office. Like the encounter at Old Trafford Harry lacked judgment and leadership in the defense which ultimately cost his team.

Player Ratings – 1.5/10 (Flop of the Match)

Victor Lindelof: The Swedish defender looked like a kid amongst men and was seen laboring throughout the match. Looking at the scoreline, Lindelof was lucky that the match scoreline didn’t go too much worse and ended in a 0-4 defeat.

Player Ratings – 4/10

Diogo Dalot: At fault for the opening goal, the left-wing back was seen making some good runs in attack, but couldn’t recover well as he was never in the game against Salah, Mane and Diaz. The defender could have done better but like other United players was seen all over the place.

Player Ratings – 3.5/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka: The right-wing back didn’t do too much wrong, but neither did he do too much right. With Salah too hot to handle, Wan-Bissaka looked like a kid in the park who was all over the pitch.

Player Ratings – 5/10

Jesse Lingard: Often called for cameo appearance Jesse Lingard also had a quiet evening after coming on for Paul Pogba. The England star was seen lacking ideas and creativity for which you can’t blame him as Ronaldo was absent.

Player Ratings – 5.5/10

Nemanja Matic: The Serbian has left his best days behind him and was unable to stop Mane from making the assist for the Salah goal while he was seen lacking edge. Matic didn’t contribute too much and had an off day.

Player Ratings – 4/10

Anthony Elanga: Anthony Elanga had big shoes to fill and that too of Cristiano Ronaldo, Elanga was good at times moving forward but lacked the creative supply line which Liverpool had. On a given day he is a match-winner, but lack of experience played its part.

Player Ratings – 6/10

Marcus Rashford: Marcus did come all guns blazing in the second half and had a half-chance which he failed to take. Apart from that, Rashford lacked a supply chain and needed much better help from other players.

Player Ratings – 3/10

Bruno Fernandes: While Portugal international clearly had an off day, he was unable to enjoy the conditions at Anfield. Did dhow promise in the second half, but was sloppy and lost his head at times as well.

Player Ratings – 5/10
