Man United youngsters rally to beat Tottenham 2-1

Manchester United made it four from four in pre-season - and beat one of their biggest Premier League rivals in the process.

United ran out 2-1 victors over Tottenham thanks to a late goal from youngster Angel Gomes.

Anthony Martial hit the post early in the game but made amends shortly afterwards as he fired home the opener.

A bad-tempered affair then ensued, with a host of players receiving yellow cards, while Moussa Sissoko was lucky to avoid being sent off for appearing to stamp on Daniel James.

Lucas Moura brought Spurs level in the second half with a deflected effort which trickled past goalkeeper Sergio Romero.

But Gomes' strike ensured United continued their winning ways.

Gomes played a neat one-two with Juan Mata before firing home to ensure that United kept up their winning run ahead of the new campaign.
