Carlos Alcaraz enters tennis' all-time elite list with eight ATP titles in 2025
Carlos Alcaraz continues to push the boundaries of modern tennis, and his 2025 season may be his most impressive yet.
The Spanish superstar captured eight ATP titles this year—more than any other player on either the men's or women’s tours—cementing his place among the sport’s elite and joining company usually reserved for the legendary Big Three.
Even though he came up short against Jannik Sinner at the ATP Finals, Alcaraz still finished the season as the year-end World No. 1, a testament to his consistency, dominance, and growing legacy.
He put together an outstanding season, capturing two Grand Slam titles at Roland Garros and the US Open. He also added three Masters 1000 trophies in Monte Carlo, Rome, and Cincinnati, along with ATP 500 victories in Rotterdam, Queen’s Club, and Tokyo.

With eight titles overall, the 22-year-old becomes just the sixth man this century to reach or exceed that total in a single season. He’s also only the third player in the past decade to do it—joining Andy Murray, who won nine titles in 2016, and Jannik Sinner, who claimed eight in 2024.
Roger Federer sits alone at the top of this category, having achieved the remarkable milestone four times. He captured 11 titles in both 2004 and 2005, followed by a record-setting 12 titles in 2006, and added another eight titles in 2007.
Right behind him is Rafael Nadal, who claimed 11 titles in 2005, eight titles in 2008, and 10 titles in 2013.
Novak Djokovic also reached these heights, winning 10 titles in 2011 and 11 in 2015.
Next in line is Andy Murray, thanks to his outstanding 2016 season. More recently, Sinner and Alcaraz joined the group, each earning eight titles—Sinner in 2024, and Alcaraz in 2025.
Jannik Sinner, the current world No. 2, put together an incredible season, capturing six titles across the year — including the Australian Open, Wimbledon, Beijing, Vienna, Paris, and the ATP Finals.
Several other players enjoyed standout moments on the ATP Tour in 2025. Alexander Bublik emerged as one of the season’s biggest surprises, capturing titles in Halle, Gstaad, Kitzbühel, and Hangzhou. Felix Auger-Aliassime also put together an impressive campaign with victories in Adelaide, Montpellier, and Brussels.
Luciano Darderi had a true breakout year as well, lifting trophies in Marrakech, Båstad, and Umag. Meanwhile, Novak Djokovic, Taylor Fritz, Casper Ruud, Flavio Cobolli, Denis Shapovalov, and João Fonseca each claimed two titles, underscoring just how deep and competitive the tour has become.
