Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Alexander Zverev: Ultimate Tennis Showdown 2 Preview and Prediction

It is an interesting clash between two promising Next-Gen players in the Ultimate Tennis Showdown tonight. Felix Auger-Aliassime was set to play the first edition of the UTS before an ankle injury ruled him out of participation.

"It's a new competition and I'll be interested to see how I can deal with this format", he said. This match is crucial for the Canadian as he gets the right to choose his semifinal opponent if he wins this clash.

On the other hand, Alexander Zverev would be aiming to get back in full flow ahead of the resumption of the ATP tour.

After the fiasco at Novak Djokovic's Adria tour and the subsequent pull out from the exhibition tournament at Berlin, Sascha should make his game to do the talking. With the hiring of veteran Spaniard, David Ferrer as his coach on a trial basis, Zverev will look to iron out faults in his game.

Strengths of Felix Auger-Aliassime

With a booming big-serve, a powerful forehand, and a wicked backhand slice are his biggest strengths. Aged just 19, Felix has an intense game and controls his opponents with effective court coverage. However, the youngster must improve his second-serve.

Strengths of Zverev

Having beaten each member of the Big 3 at least once in his career, Zverev has all the weapons in his game to trouble the best in the business. A brutal backhand, smart net-play and aggressive baseline game are the World number 7's  biggest strengths. However, over-dependence on his first-serve and an inconsistent forehand can ruin the German's game even on a good day.

Head to Head record

Felix and Zverev have met each other twice before. Zverev won both the clashes in straight sets.

With a competitive set of players out there in the field to grab the title, both Felix and Zverev will be targetting to get maximum match-practice and also have some fun in the fast-paced event.

Prediction -  Alexander Zverev to win in four quarters
