- The only other players apart from Novak Djokovic to have defeated Novak Djokovic in the French Open are Guillermo Corcia, Phillip Kohlschreiber, Jurgen Muller, Stan Wawrinka, Dominic Thiem and Marco Cecchinato.

- The 2021 French Open win was a very significant Grand Slam, one that put him on the same level as his counterparts, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. After winning the 2021 French Open final against Stefanos Tsitsipas, Djokovic had the second-highest Grand Slam finals played, after Roger Federer (30) with 19 Grand Slams to his name.
