A review on Novak Djokovic’s French Open run over the years.

  • Out of the nine times that Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic have met in the French Open, Djokovic has only won two matches, one in the 2015 semi-finals and the other in the 2021 semi-finals.

  • The only other players apart from Novak Djokovic to have defeated Novak Djokovic in the French Open are Guillermo Corcia, Phillip Kohlschreiber, Jurgen Muller, Stan Wawrinka, Dominic Thiem and Marco Cecchinato.

  • Rafael Nadal baggeled Djokovic in the 2020 French Open finals, a big shock to Djokovic fans and the tennis fans alike.

  • The 2021 French Open win was a very significant Grand Slam, one that put him on the same level as his counterparts, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. After winning the 2021 French Open final against Stefanos Tsitsipas, Djokovic had the second-highest Grand Slam finals played, after Roger Federer (30) with 19 Grand Slams to his name. He also broke another significant record by becoming the first player in the 21st Century, the first player in the Open Era and the third player in history after Roy Emerson and Rod Laver to win each Grand Slam minimum of two times.

Good news for Novak fans as French Open organizers said that Novak Djokovic will be allowed to defend his French Open title as the tournament prepares to stage the first Grand Slam without any corona-virus related restrictions.
