ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) was formed in September 1972 and the association began hosting ATP tour events in 1990. The four Grand Slam Tournaments, the ATP finals, the ATP 1000 tournaments, and the ATP 500 and 250 tournaments are all part of the ATP tour.

10. Guillermo Vilas (62)

Guillermo Vilas was regarded as one of tennis's most formidable shortest players. Over his career, the Argentine won 62 trophies. In 1977, he also had a 46-match winning streak. He earned more than $4.9 million in prize money. 

9. Pete Sampras (64)

At the time of his retirement, Pete Sampras held the record of 14 grand slam singles victories, which was later surpassed by the Swiss great Roger Federer. In 1988, the American began his professional career, and he retired in 2003. He and Roger Federer had a good rivalry at the end of his career.

7. Bjorn Borg (66)

Bjorn Borg became a professional at the age of 17, and he was successful on the tour right away. He won 66 titles during his career. Between 1978 and 1981, Borg collected four consecutive French Open titles.

3. Novak Djokovic (99)

Novak Djokovic has been the world number one for more than 400 weeks and has won a record 24 grand slam titles in his career. The Serbian’s win-loss record stands at 1124-222 (83.5%). After turning pro in 2003, the 37-year-old took home his first grand slam title in 2008 (Australian Open). The record for most Australian Open victories is held by Novak Djokovic (10). In 2023, he won the US Open, earning his 99th title.

After playing for more than 20 years, the Swiss legend retired in 2022 with a record 1251 victories. Roger has the most Wimbledon titles in singles to date with eight of the 19 major titles. The Swiss icon holds the record for winning 103 ATP titles (second most in Open Era). Federer, who had been sidelined since the 2019 season due to a string of injuries, played his final match at the Laver Cup 2022 with Djokovic and Rafael Nadal.

Jimmy Connors holds the record for most titles in ATP tour history. In addition to having played the most games, he has won 109 titles. He has appeared in 1557 matches and played for over 24 years in the professional tour.
