2023 NBA FREE AGENCY PREVIEW: TOP 5 FREE AGENTS TO LOOKOUT

2023 NBA FREE AGENCY PREVIEW: TOP 5 FREE AGENTS TO LOOKOUT

The NBA OFFSEASON is officially here after the NBA FINALS  2023, Free agency is set to begin on Friday, June 30.

a) James Harden – The Houston Rockets buzz isn’t going anywhere and they can offer 4 years deal worth almost $202 million assuming he turns down his $35.6 million player option.  Sixers can offer him a max of $210 million on a four-year deal, and while it might not be comfortable going that high, there would be nothing comfortable about letting the 34-year-old walk, either, given that it would be over the cap anyway. If a Houston reunion is in progress then Philly could try to work out a sign and trade (to create a trade exception) or dump salary elsewhere. But returning to the Sixers with the new Head coach Nick Nurse is probably the favorite in the clubhouse.

b) Kyrie Irving- 31-year-old Irving could ask for the full 5 years and $272 million guaranteed, Kyrie Irving finished the season with 27 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds in 20 games with the Mavericks, who were on a play-in spot. Despite Dallas's lack of success after the trade the team was actually a plus 4 in net rating with both Doncic and Irving on the floor, which will perhaps lead the front office to make him an exciting offer, if not there will be teams willing up to put up with any off-court drama to secure a player of Irving's caliber.

c) Khris Middleton Khris Middleton returned from the injury in 2022-23, but looked like his old self in the playoffs with 24 points per game, It’s hard to believe Milwaukee would let him go considering how crucial he is to them, there will be plenty of bidders if Middleton elects to become a free agent.

d) Kristap Porzingis- One of the top players with Washington Wizards, arguably the best season where he stayed healthy for the full year, Washington has a new front office, so Kristap Porzingis will have to decide whether he wants to be a part of the future in Dc.

e) Fred VanVleet- Fred Vanvleet has decided to decline his option, making him one of the most desirable candidates in free agency, given his production and championship experience, He would be a great asset to any team and mentor on a rebuilding team or potential the final piece for a contender.
