Borussia Dortmund slap a hefty price tag on in-demand Jadon Sancho

German giants Borussia Dortmund have placed a whopping £127 million price tag on in-demand Jadon Sancho’s head. The 19-year-old England international scored for the seventh consecutive game last night as the German side drew 3-3 with RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga.

Sancho has been one of the most sought-out players in Europe in recent months and his sensational run of form has only intensified the interest in him. Almost every big club in Europe is interested in the youngster including the Premier League big boys like Liverpool, Chelsea and both Manchester clubs.

The 19-year-old is expected to be pursued in the upcoming winter transfer window but Borussia Dortmund are adamant that they will not lose their priced asset in January, as they will find it hard to sign a good replacement.

To fend of buyers in January, the German giants have slapped a £127 m price tag on Sancho's head. It is believed that Liverpool were the closest to the Englishman's signature but their interest has cooled down a bit having known the fee Klopp's former side are demanding for the youngster.

Former Middlesbrough and Swindon Premier League star turned TV journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft broke the news via Twitter. Fjortoft says a switch to Liverpool is “still on” but it has gone a bit colder “after Dortmund has let it known that they want £127 million for the player”.

It is believed that Sancho is himself looking for a move as well but he has been told by the club that he must wait until the summer if he wants to leave.

Despite reports claiming that the situation between him and the club are far from ideal, Sancho has already found the back of the net nine times and provided eight assists in the German top-flight this season.

The unrest rumours emerged last month after he began to consider his future after being made to feel like a “scapegoat” for Dortmund’s poor run of form.

It will be interesting to see which of the Premier League giants finally secure the signature of the most in-demand youngster of the country. For long, it was though that Manchester United are leading the chase for Sancho but Liverpool are leading the race right now.

Chelsea are also interested in Sancho's services while Manchester City are also looking to offer the youngster a return to the Etihad after letting him move to Borussia Dortmund in 2017.
