India will play against Bangladesh in the second and last Test of a two-match series. The hosts have already taken a 1-0 lead in the series and they will look forward to whitewashing the visitors. Meanwhile Bangladesh will aim to level-up the series.

India had a fabulous start to the series, crushing Bangladesh by 280 runs in the first Test in Chennai. Although Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja showcased incredible all-round attributes, the worrisome performances of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli must be a concern for India heading to this encounter. Ashwin, Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill scored hundreds in the match. Jadeja scored 86 in the first innings and picked five wickets across the two innings. Ashwin picked six wickets in the second innings. The home team will look forward to continuing the same effort. 

 On the other hand, Bangladesh would be desperate to make a statement in the series following their horrendous defeat in Chennai. Despite getting a magnificent start with the ball, courtesy of Hasan Mahmud's clinical spell, the Tigers failed to dismantle India's lower middle order. Their inability to break the stand between Ashwin and Jadeja proved costly for the visitors. Bangladesh played well in parts but failed to capitalize on their moments. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto hit a fifty in the second innings after India asked his side to chase 515. The visiting team will need to use more spin and improve their batting.
