IPL 2023 | List of the big players in the IPL 2022-23 mini-auction
The much-awaited IPL mini-auction will be held on 23rd December in Kochi. 991 cricketers will go under the hammer as they await for which franchise they play. Out of these 991 cricketers, 714 will be Indian while the remaining 277 overseas cricketers.
The major players can set a maximum base price of Rs 2 crore while the uncapped players have a base price of a minimum of 20 lakhs. Going into this auction, Sunrisers Hyderabad have the largest auction purse of Rs 42.25 crore while KKR have the smallest purse with 7.05 crore remaining.
Here is the list of players who will take part in the 2023 IPL Auction.
Players with a base price of Rs 2 crore
Tom Banton, Nathan Counter-Nile, Sam Curran, Cameron Green, Travis Head, Jason Holder, Chris Jordan, Chris Lynn, Angelo Matthews, Tymal Mills, Adam Milne, Jimmy Neesham, Kane Williamson, Nicholas Pooran, Craig Overton, Jamie Overton, Adil Rashid, Rilee Rossouw, Phil Salt, Ben Stokes, Rassie van der Dussen.
Players with a base price of Rs 1.5 crore
Sean Abbot, Harry Brook, Shakib Al Hassan, Riley Meredith, Jhye Richardson, Will Jacks, Jason Roy, Sherfane Rutherford, Adam Zampa.
Players with a base price of Rs 1 crore
Mayank Agarwal, Kedar Jadhav, Manish Pandey, Mohammad Nabi, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Moises Henriques, Andrew Tye, Joe Root, Luke Wood, Michael Braceman, Mark Chapman, Martin Guptill, Kyle Jamieson, Matt Henry, Tom Latham, Daryl Mitchell, Heinrich Klaasen, Tabraiz Shamsi, Kusal Perera, Roston Chase, Rahkeem Cornwall, Shai Hope, Akeal Hossein, David Wiese.
Key players
After performing well in the 2022 T20 World Cup, franchises will be keen to buy Sam Curran and Ben Stokes. Cameron Green is another player franchises will spend big money to buy. Teams that are in need of an opener / top-order batsman will look to buy the former PBKS captain Mayank Agarwal. Teams that will be in need of a future captain like CSK would want to buy Kane Williamson.
