London Royal Ravens in RektGlobal's Call of Duty League team

Activision Blizzard announced that its branding will be called the Call of Duty League. It also announced that the competition will be be played on CoD Modern Warfare 4 on PS4 consoles. The tournament is set to begin from 2020. Nine of the 12 franchises are based in U.S with RektGlobal, London, OverActive Media, Toronto and c0ntact Gaming, Paris being the exceptions.  

The first season will have a prize pool of over $6M. 


The first franchise to announce its team was London based RektGlobal. They dubbed their team, London Royal Ravens, inspired by the real-life ravens in the Tower of London. The legend says that King Charles II believed that if the ravens ever left the tower, the kingdom and the tower would fall. To this day, the tower houses six ravens. 

Royal London Ravens Roster 

The team will be represented by Brad ‘Wuskin’ Marshall, his twin brother, Matthew ‘Skrapz’ Marshall, Dylan ‘Dylan’ Henderson, Jordan “Jurd” Crowley, and Rhys ‘Rated’ Price.  

The manager will be RektGlobal Gaming's chief gaming officer, Michael “ODEE” O’Dell. Michael founded the company Dignitas before he joined RektGLobal Gaming in July this year.  


The CoD League Format

  • The 28-week league will begin in spring 2020.
  • It will be split in two halves (Spring and Summer)
  • Each of the 12 franchisees will host 2 multi-day competitions in the home markets (1 in spring, 1 in summer)
  • The double-elimination structure will culminate in the playoffs and grand finals dubbed the Call of Duty League Championship Weekend next summer.
