The Manchester City striker scored a right-footed shot from a rebound in the seventh minute of Norway's home match against Slovenia in the Nations League for his 33rd international goal to move level with the late Jorgen Juve on the country's list of record scorers.

John Alieu Carew, who was born on September 5, 1979 is a Norwegian actor and former professional football striker. He earned 91 caps and scored 24 goals for the Norwegian national team.

John Carew was part of the Euro 2000 team. He made his full international debut on November 18, 1998, becoming the first Black player to play for Norway.

4. Harald Hennum – 25 goals

Hennum began his professional football career at Frigg, where he played in three distinct eras. He played for Skeid and won the Norwegian Cup four times: in 1954, 1955, 1956, and 1958.

In 43 appearances for the Norwegian national team, Hennum scored 25 goals. He is placed fourth on the country’s all-time leading scorers list.

3. Einar Gundersen – 26 goals

Einar Gundersen is among the first well-known football players in Norway. With 26 goals in his 33 games for Norway, he came in third on the team's all-time scoring record. Gundersen's ability to score goals frequently and willingness to score goals for fun made him one of Norway's greatest attackers.

2. Jorgen Juve – 33 goals

Juve became Norway’s all-time top scorer with 33 goals in 45 appearances for his nation between 1929 and 1934. The 33-goal record of Jorgen Juve stood for 90 years until Haaland, who had been in the Norwegian legend's rearview mirror for the previous two years, finally broke the record with a brace against Slovenia.

Erling Haaland made history for Norway with his brace against Slovenia. Only seven minutes into the game, the Manchester City striker gave his country a 1-0 lead with a right-footed effort that blasted past Jan Oblak's near post. 

Haaland tied Jørgen Juve for the top spot on their country's all-time goalscoring chart with his 33rd goal for Norway. The striker's second goal in the 62nd minute gave Norway a 3-0 victory and cemented his place as the nation's top scorer. He has now scored 34 goals for Norway in just 37 games.
