Deal Done:PSG sign Inter Milan outcast Icardi

Mauro Icardi has signed for the French Giants in a deal worth 57 Million pounds. The Argentine Marksman was loaned out from his parent club, Inter Milan around last September. Following a series of controversial incidents, the striker fell out of favor at the San Siro.

But, his time at Paris seems to be good as the Argentine impressed the club's hierarchy by scoring 20 goals in 31 appearances across all competitions this season.

According to reports around Italy, Inter Milan have also inserted a bizarre "Anti-Juve" Clause worth 15 Millions pounds to prevent the player from joining their arch rivals in the near future.

Initially, Icardi was strongly linked to the Bianconeri in the season start. But a deal failed to materialize due to Inter's persistent efforts not to let the forward at any cost.

Amidst all the issues, Icardi has found his feet in France and has found himself playing along some of the world's best players such as Neymar, Mbappe, Cavani and Di Maria.

PSG Coach Thomas Tuchel is searching a long-term replacement for Uruguayan striker Cavani and Icardi is a perfect fit for the position.

In terms of statistics, Icardi's numbers have been good and this must have convinced the club to sign the Former Inter Milan Captain for a decent sum.

The Argentine International had already revealed he had no idea to stay at Milan beyond 2022. Hailed as Inter's hero in the past, he found himself in a dark phase after falling out with the board and former Inter coach Luciano Spalleti.

Icardi registered 124 goals and 28 assists for the Nerazzuri . His struggle to cope up with the Inter Milan Ultras is cited as one of the major reasons for him to leave the club.

He also refused to travel with the team for a UEFA Europa League fixture against Rapid Vienna almost a year ago, thereby adding more fuel to the fire
