PSG superstar Neymar Jr. is suffering from 'anxiety'

The absence of competitive football during the coronavirus pandemic is getting to Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar. It is reported that the Brazilian is suffering from ‘anxiety’ as he wants and waits to find out when he can return to playing football.

It has been almost more than a month since the last game played in any domestic league around the world. Players have been doing their part of spreading awareness, uploading their quarantine routine and even streaming FIFA games on the console. Still, there is one question, one doubt that almost every football fanatic has and that is when will life get back to normal?

Everyone has been missing the weekend games and the mid-week European competitions that was also at a very crucial and interesting stage. Neymar though, returned to Brazil after almost every competition was put on hold and is currently isolating with physical trainer Ricardo Rosa and Palmeiras midfielder Lucas Lima in Mangaratiba, south of Rio de Janeiro.

Ligue 1 is aiming to resume the 2019-20 season on June 17 and have it completed by July 25. Recently, UEFA’s executive committee strongly recommended that all top-flight leagues under a suspension be finished where possible. Neymar has admitted he is finding life tough without regular football and is hoping for a concrete date to get back to work at the earliest.

Neymar on his official website said, “Not knowing when to return gives me anxiety. I really miss playing, competing, the cub environment, my PSG team-mates. I miss football, really! I’m sure the crowd also wants to see everyone back on the pitch as soon as possible. I hope the decision comes out as soon as possible.”

Neymar also thanked his physical trainer and said that he has regained match fitness and is completely ready to play. Neymar was last seen in action in the return-leg against Borussia Dortmund, where Neymar and co humiliated Dortmund not only with the score but also with the ‘Haaland’ celebration.
