PSG doesn't sell stars, it buys them, says Ander Herrera

Kylian Mbappe and Neymar are linked with moves away from Paris every time but Ander Herrera feels that the players are finally having a good time. Herrera also revealed that PSG are looking forward to signing more players rather than selling this transfer window.

While Mbappe is constantly linked with Real Madrid, Neymar is linked with a return to Camp Nou but according to Herrera, both the players are satisfied at Paris after claiming a third straight league title when the season was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Herrera was asked a tricky question that put him in dilemma but the midfielder answered it in a way that there could be no controversies. Herrera was asked by AS that if PSG had to sell one of the players out of Neymar and Mbappe, who will be left out?

Herrera responded by saying, “I don’t know because I don’t know what they earn or the income they generate for the club, which is still a company. But I do know that both are key in the project and I see them very happy and involved with PSG.”

PSG bought Neymar for a world-record fee of €222 million from Barca in 2017, while Mbappe joined permanently from Monaco the following year for a reported €135m. Herrera also said that the French giants are more accustomed to buying stars than selling them.

“You have to take into account a fundamental aspect and I have discussed it with Kylian that PSG is not a club that sells its stars, on the contrary, it buys them. It has enough economic muscle to support both of them.”

However, no big player is yet linked to the French giants heavily. PSG as a team, at the moment, look very stable and their performance against Borussia Dortmund in the second leg was enough to believe it. But the story has been pretty much the same always for PSG in the European competitions and only time will tell when they finally pull-off a UCL title victory.
