Nadal vs Tsitsipas: Barcelona Open Game Analysis

With back-to-back straight victories in the last two matches against Cameron Norrie and Busta, Rafa has fine-tuned his game and has kept his unforced error count minimum. He has controlled the long rallies on the red dirt with his powerful forehand. The King of Clay has been very smart in his court coverage and moves the ball around areas where his opponents are very weak.

Tsitsipas has been the man to watch out on the clay surface in the past two weeks. He has continued his rich vein of form after winning his maiden ATP Masters 1000 title in Monte Carlo. The Greek is blessed with an all-round game and can play volleys, passing shots at the net, and also has a deep forehand.

While Nadal can save even 2-3 breakpoints in a game with his never-say-die fighting spirit, Stefanos Tsitsipas will look to hit more cross-court one-handed backhand winners to put the Spaniard on the wrong foot.

Nadal, with his immense experience at the Barcelona Open and good knowledge of the conditions in Barcelona will help him to grab the title though he has to use every ounce of his energy to oust the red-hot Tsitsipas.
