Transfer targets for every Premier League clubs

Winter Transfer window is on the corner as we are past Christmas and the window will open on the 1st of January giving Premier League teams time to build on from their performances in the first half of the season. Teams will be looking to add and also reduce their squad depending upon injuries, performances, and unavailability of the players in a bid to boost up their campaign.  

1. Arsenal

Arsenal are on top of the table for most of the season with their first team being pretty much cemented with mostly replacements to be targeted. Two positions they hope to target are the forward line with Ivan Toney and Dominik Solanke the names they hope to offer. The other is a replacement for Thomas Partey for whom a perfect replacement is yet to be thought of.

2. Aston Villa  

Aston Villa surprisingly are playing the best football of their life under Unai Emery. The squad is connecting well with each other and is playing well with new signings in the summer also combining well. Crysencio Summerville of Leeds is a target to provide cover on the wings with the Leeds star playing very well in the Championship.  

3. Bournemouth  

Bournemouth had a bad start to the season but in the past 7 games, they haven’t lost any and drawn just 1. Their squad has started to come to form with star striker Dominik Solanke being linked with a move away. If he is on his way out then a possible replacement is to be lined up and Patson Daka of Leicester is the go-to man.

4. Brentford  

Brentford are in dire need of a striker considering their bad run of form for the past few months. Ivan Toney isn’t available and looks set to depart as well with Bryan Mbuemo not fit. They are currently looking for a loan deal for Yousuffa Moukoko from Borussia Dortmund and Carlos Alcaraz of Soton.  

5. Brighton  

Brighton is dealing with injuries right now and after a good start to the season, they are now facing a crisis to play a good team. They are looking for Juanlu Sanchez, Samuel-Iling Junior, and Sacha Boye to strengthen multiple positions In their formation.

6. Burnley  

Vincent Kompany has suggested that his team is missing out on the final touch in their formation and is looking for a proven striker which has brought their transfer search to Paul Onuacho from the Belgium League. A deal might cost them plus 20 million euros.

7. Chelsea  

Chelsea have seen their squad built rigorously. With so many ins and outs they aren’t stopping yet with Armando Broja and Nicholas Jackson not firing and Christopher Nkunku just playing 2 games, they are again in search of a striker and a possible transfer target for them is Nigerian Victor Boniface.

8. Crystal Palace  

Crystal Palace is lining up a replacement for Jean Philipe Mateta considering his will to leave for first team football and a transfer target in the form of Hugo Ekitike has emerged to replace him while Albert Sambi Lokonga is also linked with a move back to The Eagles but the deal will be a bit complicated to leave.

9. Everton  

Beto has been pretty underwhelming with main man Dominik Calvert Lewin prone to injuries, Everton is looking for a deal for Chuba Apkom from Ajax while Iliman Ndiaye is also being lined up for attacking reinforcements. A shock transfer target in the middle of the park is Kalvin Philips with Leandro Dendoncker as a backup.

10. Fulham

Fulham needs a proven striker which has bought their search to Gift Orban of Gent and Jonas Wing of Wolfsburg. They were also in talks with Fluminense star Andre with their chief executive Alistair Mackintosh in Brazil last month to have talks to the Brazilians camp.

11. Liverpool  

Belgian prodigy Arthur Vermeeren is a name that will be the best solution in terms of the void left by Fabinho in his position. An experienced candidate in the form of Joao Palhinha is an option too with a left back being lined up due to the shortage In That position.  

12. Luton Town  

Luton Town have some tough choices to make considering their good form but still their position in the Premier League points table. They are targeting a central defender which has brought them to Japhet Tanganga of Tottenham and an experienced midfielder in the form of Jese Lingard who is a free agent right now.

13. Manchester City  

Manchester City have a good squad with equally good replacements in their team right now on the substitute bench. Injuries to Erling Haaland means they only have Julian Alvarez who can fill his position. They are looking for a deal for Valentin Barco of Boca Juniors.

14. Manchester United  

A forward, a defender, a midfielder, and maybe a goalkeeper are the possible positions they need to fix in this window. With Serhou Guirassy heavily linked for the attacking position. Jean Clair Todibo is their defensive target while Ruben Neves is their midfield target with no transfer target rumours for the keeping position as Andre Onana will soon leave for the AFCON cup.  

15. Newcastle  

Kalvin Philips is the first name linked with a move to Eddie Howe’s squad for a very long time. Also, a forward transfer may be on the cards to provide competition for Callum Wilson and Alexander Isak with Hugo Ekitike and Serhou Guirassy being the names suggested.

16. Nottingham Forest  

Nuno Espirito Santo is here and for sure there will be Portuguese players coming on. The first name heavily linked is Monaco’s Gelson Martins while Gonzalo Montiel is reported to be interested in a bid from another club due to which Sevilla might recall him. A transfer target for the position may also be thought of if he leaves.

17. Sheffield United  

Sheffield looks to add free agents Jese Lingard and Phil Jones to add some experience to their squad while defensive reinforcements are also being lined up with Sampadoria’s Omar Colley and Preston North-ends Ben Davies.

18. Tottenham  

Pape Sarr and Yves Bissouma will leave for the African Cup of Nations which leaves them with only Lo Celso and Pieri Emily Hojbjerg who themselves have other admirers elsewhere. Conor Gallagher is a transfer target but will cost nearly 50 million euros while Radu Dragusin also being named among the options.  

19. West Ham

Matt O’Riley and Emile Smith Rowe are currently linked with the West London club to strengthen their midfield from an attacking point of view. Also, they are in for a Central defender with Fulham’s Tosin Adaribayo being linked with a transfer away from the cottages.

20. Wolves

Southampton Che Adams and Boulaye Dia of Salenitsna are the first names being linked with a transfer since the attacking line is facing a shortage considering the injury concerns and also Fabio Silvia’s loan move to Rangers.
