Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard has requested a trade from the team, as per multiple reports.

Portland Selected Lillard 6th Overall in the 2012 NBA Draft, During his eleven seasons, he’s averaged 25.2 points and 6.7 assists over 769 regular season appearances.

The 32 years old has averaged 32.2 points per game and 64.5% shooting last season, He added 7.3 assists and 4.8 rebounds in 36.3 minutes a night for a 33-win team.

After eleven seasons and seven NBA All-Star appearances, the point guard was ready to contend in the NBA Playoffs. The Blazers had missed the postseason for two straight years. They also drafted and vowed to keep point guard Scoot Henderson in the 2023 NBA Draft.

The Blazers have a young core to build around, Rookie Scoot Henderson, who was drafted at no 3 overall in the 2023 Draft. The Blazers also have second-year swingman Shaedon Sharpe, the seventh overall pick in the 2022 draft. He averaged 9.8 points.

Per Shams Charania of the Athletic and Stadium, Lillard is specifically looking to land with the Miami Heat, Shams Charania initially listed the Heat and Brooklyn Nets as the leading suitors.

According to multiple league sources, the Trailblazers have been informed that Lillard wants a trade specifically to the Eastern Conference Champion Miami Heat.

Damian Lillard would also provide a massive boost to a Heat offense that hit a major roadblock at a certain point last season.
