Day 5 of the FIFA World Cup 2022 will also see big boys in action as Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal take on African giants Ghana in their tournament opener. However, Portugal’s savior that day was Ronaldo who came up with the goods in the 80th minute to grab hold of all three points. This however remains the only meeting between the sides as they brace themselves for just their second clash on Thursday.

Portugal vs Ghana clash will mark the end of matchday 1 for both sides and will know the importance of three points in the opener. Both the teams will be back in action on Monday (November 28) with Portugal taking on Uruguay at the Lusail Iconic Stadium in Lusail. 

The contest will be a repeat of the Round of the 16 clash between the two nations from the 2018 World Cup where the South American side got the better Fernando Santos’ side. The day will also see Ghana take on South Korea at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan.

The group stage will come to an end on Friday (December 2) as South Korea and Portugal go head-to-head at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan while in a simultaneous kickoff, Ghana and Uruguay will go head-to-head at the Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah.
