Arsenal, Liverpool And Manchester United keen to sign Denis Zakaria

Premier League trio of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United, along with a host of other European clubs are set to start a bidding war to sign Borussia Monchengladbach midfield dynamo, Denis Zakaria.

The story has been confirmed, based on the recent reports in Germany. The Bundesliga giants are bracing themselves for a flurry of summer bids for the highly-rated midfielder.

The 22-year-old is capable of playing either as a defensive midfielder or a central midfielder and his biggest asset is his energy to run tirelessly.

According to reports in Germany, the English Premier League trio have kept a close eye on the progress of the dynamic midfielder for a long time now. Manchester United have been the longest admirers of the player and will certainly be frustrated, as they might well miss out on him.

Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are also very keen on the Swiss international, while the likes of Internazionale, Atletico Madrid and Tottenham are also strongly monitoring the situation.

Zakaria joined Borussia Monchengladbach from Young Boys for a fee around just £8.7m two years ago and has developed into one of the most energetic midfielders in the Bundesliga.

The German giants are desperate to keep hold of their prized asset but understand that they might be powerless if they receive a decent bid for the player.

The 22-year-old already boasts of 24 caps for the Switzerland national team and is an automatic pick for his national side in the middle of the park. Manchester United have struggled in the middle of the park this campaign and are craving both quality and depth.

The Red Devils improved their defence to quite an extent in the summer by signing the duo of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire but their midfield and attack are both crying for reinforcements.

On top of that, Paul Pogba's future at Old Trafford looks doubtful as interest in him from top sides in Europe especially Real Madrid is growing stronger and stronger.

Therefore, it is not a surprise to see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looking for quality young players in midfield all over Europe. Sandro Tonali of Brescia is another top target of the 20-time English champions but the highly-rated teenager will also be a tough player to sign considering his immense potential.
