AC Milan vs Juventus Preview | 6th Jan | Serie A 2020-21

AC Milan vs Juventus Preview:

San Siro will be lit as AC Milan welcome the Old Lady Juventus on a Wednesday night, in the latter's biggest test in the Serie A title race.

Stefano Pioli has made it possible for the Rossoneri to help them stay at the apex of the Serie A table, after witnessing plenty of domination by the Bianconeri for years. This could be AC Milan's first Scudetto since the 2010/11 season, while Andrea Pirlo and Juventus have certain concerns to deal with.

Since the 2011/12 season, Juventus have retained the Serie A title until this season but now they are facing a serious battle to regain their throne. Both the teams have ten points between them but it is Juventus who are on the downside after a very long time.

Milan vs Juventus Head to Head

The head to head records speaks for themselves as the Old Lady has managed a total of 21 victories since 2010, losing only six in the process. However, the Rossoneri have managed only one victory in their last seven meetings, something Milan looks forward to changing.

Recent Form
The recent form of both the teams also seems to have flipped as Juventus have managed three of their last five, losing one, and drawing one.

For Pioli and Milan, they are unbeaten in their last five, with three wins and two draws.

AC Milan vs Juventus Team News

Milan will miss the presence of their 'lion' Zlatan Ibrahimovic who is sidelined due to a muscle injury. The Rossoneri are also without Ismael Bennacer, Matteo Gabbia, and Alexis Saelemaekers who are all injured.

Sandro Tonali is suspended, while Rade Krunic is anticipated to help Franck Kessie in the midfield. Simon Kjar's return to the backline would be a relief. However, he will have to face the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Matthijs De Ligt during set-pieces.

Juventus aren't in the best of conditions too. Alex Sandro was the latest COVID-19 victim from the club, while Alvaro Morata is most probably sidelined too.

Juan Cuadrado is suspended but their skipper Giorgio Chiellini will be back with Adrien Rabiot by his side.

Milan vs Juventus Predicted Line ups:

Milan: Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Krunic, Kessie; Castillejo, Calhanoglu, Rebic; Leao.

Juventus: Szczesny; De Ligt, Bonucci, Danilo; Kulusevski, McKennie, Rabiot, Ramsey, Chiesa; Dybala, Ronaldo.

AC Milan vs Juventus Prediction

As awkward as it sounds, but Milan will be the favorites entering the game. Juventus have a lot of pressure on them and personalities like Cristiano Ronaldo and De Ligt will have to step up and take the team through.

The Old Lady are unbeatable on their day and they would hope that they fire from all ends. Milan looks more settled at the moment but a win for the Bianconeri could spark a race that may run down till the wire.
