MS Dhoni to produce a television show

Former Indian captain MS Dhoni, who is also the Lieutenant-Colonel in the Indian Territorial Army,  is all set to produce a Television show, which is likely to be aired on Sony TV.

The episodical show will talk about the life story of Army officials. "The show will narrate stories of the brave Param Vir Chakra and Ashoka Chakra awardees. With compelling stories and intriguing content on board, the show is slated for a 2020 release," said a source.

A report added that Dhoni wants to bring the hardships and struggles of Army officials to limelight. 
"Dhoni empathizes with the selfless contributions and services by the Indian Army personnel towards the country. He also realises the hardships faced by the military officers and their families throughout their service. He wants to bring these stories to limelight," added the source.

The show will be produced by Dhoni Entertainment Pvt Ltd in collaboration with StudioNext, the content creation wing of SET India.Right now, the show is being scripted, and the team is sorting out the formalities for the shoot.

The cast and crew of the show are yet to be finalised, and it certainly will be great if we can see Dhoni on screens as well.

Earlier, Dhoni produced a Hotstar special, 'Roar of the Lion', a multilingual documentary drama web series in which he starred himself.

The documentary was about the comeback of the Indian Premier League franchise, Chennai Super Kings in 2018 after serving a two-year ban for allegedly being involved in the 2013 spot-fixing scandal. The documentary got nominated for iReel Awards 2019.

Now, The Indian wicket-keeper has taken a break from international cricket right after the World Cup semi-final against New Zealand where India couldn't chase down the target of 240 and lost the match by 18 runs.

Right after the World Cup, there were speculations about Dhoni's retirement. When asked about the same in a recent show, "January tak mat poocho (don't ask me till January)," said Dhoni.
