Mumbai City FC vs East Bengal Prediction:

Match Time: 7.30 pm India Time (1st December 2020)

Mumbai City FC will be in search of all three points against SC East Bengal in their upcoming game in the Indian Super League (ISL).

It was an injury-time penalty that helped Mumbai secure victory against FC Goa in their last game while the Red and Gold tasted loss against ATK Mohun Bagan in their opening game of the season.

In a schedule of running fixtures almost daily, the two teams will have to be cautious about getting enough points on board to survive in the competition. Robbie Fowler and co. were the last set to become a part of the seventh season of the ISL, and they are the only club who have not played two games.

The Spanish coach Sergio Lobera will be looking to secure consecutive wins and add more intensity to Mumbai's underwhelming campaign, having lost to NorthEast United in the initial stages.

The team and his staff will be under tremendous pressure to excel, especially after they were handed a huge investment in the latest transfer window.

For Bengal, a loss in the Kolkata Derby was shambolic but they now know that the level they need to expect as the tournament progresses each day.

Fowler has a lot of respect especially among the Indian Liverpool fans and they would want to see a glimpse of the Reds in his team too.

Fact Check:

Mumbai has not drawn in any of their last five games while SC East Bengal has lost once in their last five.

Mumbai City FC has an average of 0.33 goals per game in their last three games while Bengal has an average of 0.67

SC East Bengal has a fit side as well. Fowler will have a plethora of options to select from and it seems Fowler will have to scratch his brain to get the best possible XI on the field.

The Islanders will be reinforced with the return of their central midfielder who is known for his vicious tackling. With that aggression too, he manages a passing accuracy of 75% in his limited time on the pitch.

Jacques Maghoma (SC East Bengal)

Maghoma was one of the most effective players on the pitch in their last game. His shooting and passing abilities are phenomenal and the player used it most of his abilities. The former Birmingham City man was solid defensively too.

Anthony Pilkington will be another threat to Mumbai's backline and the 33-year-old will have a lot to prove.
