Neymar wishes he had hit Alvaro as PSG taste defeat in back to back games

Paris Saint-Germain vs Marseille took a very heated course after the game ended with five red cards and fourteen yellow cards. All the red cards were shown after the 90-minute mark as things went on from bad to worse.

Neymar was one of the players who received a second yellow and was then sent off but the Brazilian barely showed any signs of sorrow or regret.

Neymar was also very vocal about regretting, not for the red card he received but for the fact that he did not hit Alvaro in the face. The loss was PSG’s second in a row and third consecutive loss including the Champions League final against Bayern Munich and Neymar and company did not take it well.

The Le Classique at the Parc des Princes on Sunday was an intense one after things only got aggravated one after the other. PSG went goalless back to back in their first two league games only for the second time since 1978-79. As soon as the injury time began, referee Jerome Brisard was seen dishing out red cards like confetti.

The drama ended in a brawl and no one on the pitch was able to mitigate the actions happening. Things started with a yellow to Kevin Strootman in the 91st minute. Then Marseille’s Benedetto provoked Leandro Paredes and both the players received their second bookings.

Amavi and Kurzawa were dismissed shortly after as the teams clashed on the field following the referee consulting VAR to dismiss Neymar. However, Neymar then accused Alvaro of racism while having a conversation with the fourth official as he left the pitch as replays of the Brazilian hitting the defender in the back of the head surfaced.

After the game, Neymar took to Twitter to vent out his emotions and said, “The only regret I have is that I didn’t hit this a****** in the face.” As far as Marseille are concerned, Florian Thauvin’s goal was enough for Marseille to win 1-0.
