Neymar might be on his way to England next summer
This might turn out to be the last season for Neymar Jr. in the capital of France as the Paris Saint-Germain hierarchy now seems to be in the mood to get rid of the Brazilian centre forward.
Neymar wanted to leave Parc des Princes last summer itself and his old club, FC Barcelona had even come with an offer, but PSG had kept the transfer fee so high that the deal eventually couldn’t materialize. And, it didn’t amuse Neymar at all.
In recent weeks though, Neymar hasn’t passed any statement which suggests that he is desperate for a move in the winter, but if the reports are true, PSG is now open to the offers for the Brazilian talisman.
Generally, the interests for Neymar so far have been from Spain with both Real Madrid and Barcelona showing a willingness to land the 27-year old striker, but now it is understood that the clubs up north are also interested in securing the services of Neymar.
Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea are in touch with Neymar’s agent.
There is a possibility of the Neymar deal materializing this time around because the PSG board might lower the asking price for him. Last summer, they were demanding 250 million pounds which was a bit too much even for a player of the caliber of Neymar.
If they get it down to less than 200 which they might do, Neymar coming to the Premier League, might become a realistic possibility.
Whether it happens in January or next summer is not certain, but it’s on the cards and the English fans would hope it materializes because it would add a bit of spark to the Premier League.
Neymar has so far scored 40 goals in the 45 league fixtures he has played for PSG in the last couple of seasons.
