Nikola Jokic was a mid 2nd round pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.

Without a doubt, Nikola Jokic is one of the most improved players in NBA history. From a 2nd round pick to becoming an MVP candidate, The Joker has come a long way and deservingly so.

The Serbian national was voted in the NBA all-rookie first team in 2016. He was voted as an all-star in 2018, when he led the Nuggets to a deep play-off run.

This season Jokic is well in talks for winning the MVP with the Denver Nuggets placed in the 4th seed of the Western Conference.

Nikola Jokic Stats: NBA 2021 season

The Joker is almost averaging a triple-double stat line this season with 26.3 points per game along with 10.9 rebounds and 8.7 assists per game.

The only two big men with a similar stat line this season have been Joel Embiid and Giannis Antetokuonmpo, neither have been as consistent in playmaking.

Nikola Jokic: Contract Details

In 2018, Jokic signed a monstrous $148 million contract, signed for a span of 5 years.

Nikola Jokic has delivered well above his pay this season and the Nuggets have actually become a championship contender under his leadership along with Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr. and the recently added, Aaron Gordon.

Physical Attributes and Game Analysis

Jokic stands 6’10'' tall, plays in the center position who can shoot, pass and collect as many boards as he wants.

It is scary for someone to have so many arsenals as a big man, who has just entered the prime of his career. With the skillset Jokic possesses, his presence in the lineup would make any team a lot better.

Denver Nuggets have had one of the biggest steals of all time by acquiring Nikola Jokic. They are looking forward to do everything to make the around him better.

The current Denver Nuggets have a very young starting roster, so this team will only keep on getting better as seasons go by. If The Joker manages to win the MVP this season, he will become the first center to win the award as a center since 2000, when the Diesel Shaquille O’Neal won it.

Nikola Jokic was the least athletic person as a youngster, and he did not even like basketball as much. He wanted to become a horse rider and did well in that as well. After a few years, Jokic decided to give basketball another chance, thankfully.
