The second half witnessed a controversial VAR decision that went in the visitor's way as Real Madrid were awarded a penalty for a foul on Sergio Ramos. The skipper then converted a penalty to restore Madrid's lead. 

Finally, in the dying minutes of the game, Luka Modric who was introduced in the 69th minute, fired the last goal of the game as Madrid won 3-1 at Camp Nou.

The game had a lot of action in the first half but did not see any goals until the 71st minute as Vinicius Junior fired from a spectacular run.

Lionel Messi and co tried a lot but they couldn't take any points from the game as super-sub Mariano Diaz scored within a minute of substitution and put the game to bed.

Barcelona had two big chances though, despite having half the attempts. Marc-Andres Ter Stegen was the man of the match for the game because of his multiple saves in critical situations.

A Copa Del Rey semi-final second leg was the fifth meeting between the sides, with the first leg ending 1-1. After a goalless first half, Luis Suarez fired a goal just five minutes into the second half, with a Raphael Varane own goal coming just before the 70th minute.

Real Madrid did not have many hopes left as they went behind on aggregate and also two away goals down. All this led to more pressure on the Los Blancos, as they ended up awarding Barcelona another spot-kick.

Luis Suarez stepped up to take it and managed to score as Real Madrid were knocked out of the competition.
