Real Madrid thrash Galatasaray as Rodrygo nets incredible Champions league Hat-trick

Real Madrid booked their place in the Champions league knockout stage after the Brazilian teenage sensation, Rodrygo produced a fantastic performance by scoring a hat-trick to down Galatasaray.

Dubbed as one of the next generation's superstar, the young lad simply plundered the Turks with his talent with the ball. Having made his Champions league debut against the same opposition two weeks ago, he has established himself in the right wing slot ahead of Compatriot Vinicius Junior and Lucas Vazquez.

The first goal came in the fourth minute of the game, when he outran two defenders and hit a slick left-footed shot which strided past Fernando Muslera.

The next goal was even better than his first one, as he headed the ball from Marcelo's cross in the sixth minute. He also became the Real Madrid player to score the quickest brace in a Champions league fixture

He completed his treble in the dying minutes of the game after he combined well with Striker Karim Benzema to produce a neat finish. He also assisted the Frenchman just before half-time as he tapped in the ball to make it 4-0.

The combination of Benzema and Rodrygo proved to be enough for Zidane's side to outclass the weak defensive shape of Galatasaray.

Rodrygo's transition from a second striker to a right winger has been a very good solution for the Los Blancos as they were lacking a winger, who could consistently score goals and make assists as well.

He moved to Real Madrid from Santos last season for a record transfer fee of €45 million and has already started to prove that he is worth every penny.
