Riot unveil a new VALORANT Agent - NEON | Release Date | Abilities

VALORANT has released the trailer for the game's newest speedster, showcasing the Manila-born agent Neon and her fast, electric ability kit.

While it hasn’t officially been confirmed yet, Neon appears to be taking on the duelist role just by looking at her abilities. She should be “sprinting onto the scene” at the start of Episode Four: Disruption.

Here’s a look at all the abilities that Neon can make use of in VALORANT:

Sprint & Slide

Neon can stow her weapons and move quickly around the map in an all-out sprint. Furthermore, she can surprise enemies around corners with the ability to slide on her knees.

Concussion Ability

Neon can fire a concussive charge that can bounce off up to two walls before falling to the ground. The charge then pulses on the ground stunning the enemies caught in its area.

Double Firewall

Neon can summon two Phoenix-like firewalls, which cuts off sightlines from both sides and provide a handy little tunnel that a team can push through before their opponents can blink.

Ultimate Ability - Lightning Fingertips

Neon’s ultimate ability lets her harness her electric power and focus it into a lightning beam that erupts from her fingertips. She can sprint and slide while using it, and it looks like it can melt through shields and health.

Release Date?

Neon is set to burst onto the scene when VALORANT Episode 4: Disruption begins. The exact date for this has not been announced yet, but with Episode 3 Act 3 ending on Jan. 11, we will likely see her very soon.
