On the other hand, Elina Svitolina too made a tremendous come-from-behind win after trailing 7-6(4) 5-2 against Petra Kvitova. 

The Ukrainian took five games in a row in the second set to grab it 7-5 after saving two match points. A couple of service breaks against the defending champion Kvitova was more than enough for Svitolina as she claimed the third set 6-2. to book her spot in the last four.

Elina Svitolina saved an impressive 13 out of 16 breakpoints. The Ukrainian also smashed 7 aces and bagged 72.7% of points on her first-serve. 

The semifinal match is scheduled to begin at 3:30 PM Central European Time.
