Arsenal exit on the cards for the striking duo of Aubameyang & Lacazette?

Arsenal star striker duo of Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are reportedly keeping their options open, as the club are believed to be struggling to tie them down to new deals.

Former Borussia Dortmund striker Aubameyang is contracted at the Emirates until June 2021, while former Lyon hit-man Lacazette will have just a couple of years remaining in his contract, at the end of the season.

The Gunners are reportedly trying their best to make the duo commit their long-term future to the club but negotiations so far have proved to be futile. According to reports, both the strikers are keeping their options open and do not want to commit their future in north London at the moment.

They are both determined to play in the Champions League next season and the club might once again fail to offer them that. The Gunners are eighth in the table right now and eight points separate them from fourth-placed Chelsea.

Both the players are elite strikers and are at their peak of their powers. It is no surprise that they will have ambitions to play Champions League football week in week out.

For Arsenal, it is a massive headache that both their top strikers are unsettled at the club. They must start working on a plan for the future if they fail to tie both of them down to long-term deals.

Aubameyang netted his 50th Arsenal goal in just his 78th game for the club recently but has not been able to inspire his side to win games continuously.

The form of the Gabon international has been extremely vital for Arsenal this season. Most points that the Gunners have gotten this season, have been due to his contributions in front of goal.

He has netted eight of the club's 16 goals, while he has also banged in 13 Premier League goals in his last 18 games. Lacazette, who recently came back from an injury layoff, is also a vital player for last campaign's Europa League finalists. His chemistry with Aubameyang upfront is really impressive.

It is really frustrating for these attackers of the highest level, when their work is undone by the rest of the team and that applies in the case of Aubameyang and Lacazette.

Arsenal must ensure that they improve overall as a unit in order to make the duo stay at the club and bring back the club to where it truly belongs.
