Ousmane Dembele drops a transfer hint about joining Liverpool

Liverpool fans have gone through a lot over the past three decades as their team has not been very successful in this period. But the fans are now getting rewards for sticking with their club as the Reds under Jurgen Klopp have become one of the best teams in the world. Liverpool who have won UEFA Champions League, Club World Cup and are set to win the league title for the first time since 1990. 

The club doesn't want to sit on their laurels as they want to improve. Considering the pull of being current holders of the Champions League, it is not a surprise that the club has been linked to a lot of quality players. In the last few months, Kylian Mbappe and Jadon Sancho have been linked with the Reds.

Recently, some reports said that Liverpool might be interested in signing Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele. The 22-year-old has given fuel to the rumours by liking an Instagram post, which suggested a move for him. 

The post had a picture of Dembele with the caption "Finally some positive transfer news, Ousmane Dembele to Liverpool." The fact that the French superstar liked the post suggests that he might be unhappy with the life at Camp Nou.

The youngster was earmarked as a long-term replacement for Neymar when Barcelona spent a whopping 126 million to secure his services in 2017. Since then, a mix of injuries and competition for places has not let him settle in the Catalan club. In 2.5 seasons in Barcelona, he has managed to play just 4125 minutes of football. 

He does have the potential and the age on his side. Dembele has done well whenever he has been on the field, scoring 19 goals and delivering 17 assists.  Considering the track record of Klopp in developing youngsters, this could be a match in heaven for both Liverpool and the career of Dembele.
