Liverpool - Arsenal Ends in a Stalemate

Arsenal, who are comfortably stretching at the top of the table were looking to increase their lead, whereas the Merseyside Reds Liverpool are struggling to get into the top four of the Premier League table. This game was a real decider of the fate of Arsenal this season.

 Everyone expected Arsenal to get away with a win, but they just managed a draw. We have to wonder whether it's gaining one point or losing two points.

It was a game of two halves, one half belonged to Arsenal and another one to Liverpool. The young Brazilian Gabriel Martinelli opened the scoring in the early minutes of the game to give Arsenal the lead at Anfield. 

His Brazilian mate Gabriel Jesus silenced his doubters in the 28th minute after doubling the lead for the North London club Arsenal.

Arsenal fans thought they got this game in hand that's when Liverpool's Egyptian king Mohammed Salah scored a goal just before halftime to keep Liverpool alive in this duel.

 Diogo Jota was brought down in the box and Liverpool got a penalty in the 54th minute of the game. Mohammed Salah walks to the spot to take the penalty. Jurgen Klopp has already turned towards the fans to celebrate the equalizer of Liverpool, and that's when Salah shockingly stunned the Anfield crowd by missing a penalty from the spot.

Liverpool's Brazilian trickster was brought to the game to cast his spell on the game. The clock was ticking, we are nearing the end of the game. 

That's when Liverpool's Alexander Arnold makes an overlapping run on the right flank and megs the Ukranian Zinchenko to give a wonderful pass in the box which saw Liverpool's love Bobby Firmino bury it home to equal the scores.

There's something special about Anfield that every team finds it difficult to survive there and play football. 

Manchester City finds it hard to beat Liverpool and in-form Manchester United lost 7-0 to Liverpool at Anfield this season. Arsenal who were on a winning stroll just managed a draw.

Arsenal is at the top of the table with 73 points in 30 games, one of the finest records in the Premier League. Meanwhile, Liverpool is in one of the worst seasons in recent times, placed in eighth position with just 44 points.

Arsenal face West Ham United in their next game on the 16th of April. Meanwhile, Liverpool will be traveling to Yorkshire to play Leeds United.
