Neymar showing his 'class' with and without the ball

Paris Saint-Germain finished as group leaders that included the 13-time UCL champions, Real Madrid to move into the knockout stage in the Champions League The Ligue 1 giants dished out a very fine performance as they humiliated Galatasaray and registered a 5-0 victory at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday. Brazilian superstar Neymar came through with a shining performance, setting up two goals and scoring one himself.

Neymar had a chance of a brace too, after Kylian Mbappe, who netted the fourth PSG goal, was fouled in the penalty box by Ryan Donk. The ex-Barcelona forward took a decision that raised quite a few eyebrows as he handed the ball to Edinson Cavani, who scored his first club goal since August.

The Uruguayan striker and the Brazilian superstar were involved in the famous penalty kick banter in a match against Lyon, just after Neymar signing for the French side in 2017. Cavani went on to miss the penalty after snatching the ball from the former Barcelona winger.

Thomas Tuchel was proud to see the unity in his PSG squad, when Neymar did this amazing gesture for PSG’s record goal-scorer, Cavani. Tuchel further added that Neymar giving the ball to Cavani to score a late penalty proves that his side is working as a single unit.

Speculations are rife that Neymar was on the brink of leaving the French Champions for his former club, Barcelona, during the last transfer window. Some things, however, remained unsorted. Neymar’s first appearance for the team after his transfer was not a great one where he was booed by the PSG supporters until scoring the match-winning goal.

Since then Neymar has been slowly and steadily regaining the trust from the fans as well as his team-mates, where a bust-up between him and the young world-cup winner, Mbappe went viral. Neymar issued a public statement where he accepted that he wanted a transfer.

On the contrary, the latter also included Neymar promising the fans and the club that he would give his level best towards the success of the club and his recent gesture proved that his intentions were solid.
