Kylian Mbappe's late 94-minute strike helped PSG seal a 1-0 victory over Real Madrid in Champions League last 16 tie. Sportco list down the player ratings for yesterday's intense game between PSG and Real Madrid.

The home team dominated the entire game but couldn't find the break-through until 94-minute, when Kylian Mbappe slalom past two of Real Madrid's defenders before slotting the ball through Thibaut Courtois legs, sending the entire stadium into raptures.

PSG could have scored a goal earlier when Kylian Mbappe was fouled in the box, as Lionel Messi stepped up to take the penalty but saw his effort saved by the Real Madrid; goal-keeper. 

While Real Madrid had zero shots on target and failed to cause any threat at Parc des Princes. We now look at how the players performed.

Gianluigi Donnarumma: Real Madrid barely threatened, as he stayed untested. 7/10

Achraf Hakimi: Solid on the right-flank and kept Vinicius Junior quiet the majority of the match. 8/10

Marquinho: Was solid at the back and managed to keep Benzema at bay like it was a walk in a park for him. 7/10 

Presnel Kimpembe: Always alert and read the danger precisely, combined well with Marquinho. 6/10 

Nuno Mendes: What a great young talent, excellent pace with the ability to form chemistry. Combined perfectly with Mbappe and also caused serious problems to Carvajal. 8/10 

Leandro Paredes: Had a decent game overall in midfield, however, wasn't seen much int the game. 6/10 

Marco Verratti: Ran the entire midfield and ate up Real Madrid's midfield trio with ease. Excellent reading of the game and soaked up the pressure very well. Hence, Verratti's player ratings for the PSG vs Real Madrid 1st leg is a well deserved 8/10 

Danilo Pereira: He had his fair share in the game, helped in the defensive line when PSG attacked and made timely tackles. 7/10

Angel Di Maria: Had a chance to break the deadlock in the game's opening stages but skied the ball over the post, had a difficult night and failed to form a tandem with Messi. 5/10 

Lionel Messi: The former Barcelona forward had a chance to put his name on the scoresheet but fluffed his line. Not the best of games by his extremely high standards. 4/10  

Kylian Mbappe: too fast, too strong and full of confidence. The Frenchman ran the show and made Madrid's defenders' night difficult. Deservedly got his goal as well. Sportco's player ratings for Mbappe is a 9/10

Substitutes: Neymar- 7/10, Idrissa Gueye - N/A

Real Madrid: Player Ratings 

Thibaut Courtois: A brick on the goal-post, made tremendous saves and denied Messi's penalty. 8/10 

Dani Carvajal: Failed miserably to deal with Mbappe and made a rash tackle in the box, leading to a penalty. 5/10.  

Eder Militao: Was strong at the back and prevented many PSG's goal-scoring opportunities. 7/10.  

David Alaba: Always gives his best on big occasions and also helped Mendy on the left flank. 7/10. 

Ferland Mendy: Tried matching with Hakimi but was outdone by him and struggled to make an impact on left-wing and got a yellow card, will miss the second-leg. 5/10. 

Casemiro: Did some dirty work to prevent any threat and couldn't combine with his midfield partners. Also picked up a yellow card and will mis the second leg. 6/10. 

Toni Kroos: Was nowhere to be seen in the game and couldn't help in the buildup. 5/10. 

Luck Modric: Disappointing night for the Croatian, as he couldn't make his defence-splitting passes. 6/10. 

Marco Asensio: All he did was run the entire game and was kept quiet by Nuno Mendes. 4/10

Karim Benzema: Wasn't at his best, as he returned from an injury but had nice flashes and failed to lead the forward line. 5/10. 

Vinicius Junior: failed to get on the ball enough and should make amends in the coming leg. 4/10.
