Well, it hasn't been an easy pre-season for real Madrid and things have not been in place despite having a busy transfer market.

The Whites started the season with a win against Celta Vigo at Balaidos,but they were held to a 1-1 draw by Real Valladolid at home.

The results have proved that the Los Blancos are still struggling to find their feet.

Speaking about the game on Sunday night against Villarreal CF, Real Madrid are determined to secure all the 3 points at the Estadio de la Ceramica. Their last two la liga campaigns were underwhelming and Manager Zinedine Zidane will be likely to change his tactics for the upcoming matches

Eden Hazard is absent from the squad as he has not recovered fully from his thigh injury. Karim Benzema, Gareth bale and Vinicius Junior will lead the attack in this match once again

We can expect Luka Jovic to take the place of Vinicius as Zidane has not placed his full confidence on the starlet.

Kroos,Modric and Casemiro will be in the middle of the park. As far as defence is concerned, left-back Ferland Mendy returns from injury. One suprise omission from the squad is Nacho Fernandez and this is very bizarre as Zidane relies on him often.

It is also reported that Keylor Navas will be playing his last match for Real Madrid as he is going to sign for Paris St. Germain within the transfer deadline.

Villareal on the other hand have been very poor in defence. They have conceded nearly 6 goals in just 2 league games. The manager Javi Calleja has a tough time bolstering his defence as new signing Alberto Moreno is out injured for two months.

Former Real Madrid man Raul Albiol and Pau Lopez will face a tough task in holding the threatening attack of Real Madrid.

In the attack, Striker Gerard Moreno and winger Samu Chukwueze will cause problems for Madrid if their defence becomes more penetrable. It remains uncertain whether Moi Gomez or Javi Ontiveros will play in the no:10 slot.
