Spain booked their birth in Euro 2008 quarter-final when star-studded Spain defeated Sweden 2-1. 

Fernando Torres with a breakthrough in 15 minutes, giving Spain a 1-0 lead; however, Sweden responded well in 34 minutes with Zlatan Ibrahimovic leveling the score after meeting Fredrick Stoor’s cross and slotting the ball in the bottom right corner. 

Spain were struggling to score goals, although David Villa’s goal in 92 minutes put the La Roja in front and booked their spot in Euro 2008 quarter-finals.
