West Brom vs Liverpool: Alisson Becker keeps Liverpool's Top Four hopes alive

Liverpool have struggled this season in the Premier League, their title hopes were over long ago, and even qualifying for the Champions League started looking improbable as they were drawing 1-1 against West Brom on Sunday until Alisson reignited their hopes scoring a last-minute headed goal to win the game 2-1.

Liverpool closed in for the 4th position, where Chelsea is currently, after battling against West Brom. Mohamed Salah scored a crucial goal in the first half after Hal Robson-Kanu’s opener. 

Alisson Becker became the first Liverpool goalkeeper ever to score a goal in the Premier League, and he did so when Liverpool needed it the most this season. 

With Alisson’s 94th minute headed goal against West Brom, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are now only one point behind Chelsea, who are sitting in the 4th position of the Premier League. There are two matches left for both teams. 

Minute 15' (Goal! Robson-Kanu for West Brom)

15 minutes into the game, we saw West Brom take a 1-0 lead against the Merseyside team, as Hal Robson-Kanu placed a beautiful finish into the bottom corner of the net. 

Minute 33' (Goal! Mo Salah levels for the Reds)

Sadio Mane got a clear shot after a while but he scuffed it wide of the post. Mo Salah stepped up yet again for Reds this season as he scored another wonderful goal in the 33rd minute of the game, placing it into the far corner.

Minute 90+4' (Goal!!! Alisson to the rescue)

In the 94th minute, West Brom conceded a corner in which Liverpool goalkeeper, Alisson decided to join the attack as it would be the last attack of the game. 

After the cross from Alexander Arnold, Alisson Becker headed the ball past West Brom Johnstone to keep Liverpool's top 4 hopes alive for the season.  

Final Score: West Brom 1-2 Liverpool
