Zidane wants Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos to be with him

Last renewing in 2017, Ramos’ deal is set to expire in 2021 and Real Madrid want to avoid seeing him enter the final year of his contract. Zidane said at his pre-Levante press conference on Friday when asked about the issue,

“I always want to have Sergio with me. I see him very well.” The Real Madrid captain is keen to play for his country at both the European Championship and the upcoming Olympic Games, and Zidane has confirmed that he has no problem with that.

Zidane said, “Of course he should go. If he wants to go I’ll support him. It’s always great to play for your country.”

Real Madrid take on Manchester City in the Champions League next week and there is a huge possibility that Zidane might rotate. However, Ramos is the one that’s unlikely to be rested as he has never been named as a substitute under Zidane.

Zidane himself confirmed that Ramos will be started saying, “He’s our captain. He’s our leader and he’s a reference for us. I’m not interested in seeing him on the bench.”

Hazard being fit again and is looking forward to playing the entire season which is left. Levante have done well at home this season and Real Madrid won’t have it easy at Valencia.

Zidane is well-aware of the fact that out of Levante’s 29 points in the La Liga, 20 are at home. Zidane is nervous yet confident and has already claimed that the game will be intense and complicated and his team will give everything to get the three points out of it.

Rivals Barcelona have a game against Eibar and that too, will be an entertaining one, as the Catalans sit just one point behind Zidane’s side. The next league game after their respective clashes will be the “El Clasico”.
