Erling Braut Haaland's transfer saga

Erling Braut Haaland has been the top transfer target this season so far. All the news headlines and rumors have included his name for some time now.

In a recent UCL match featuring Liverpool and RB Salzburg, several teams had sent their scouts to have a close look at the youngster. All this because of his stunning display in the UCL group stage.

Haaland has already scored 28 goals in 22 games in all competitions this season. The striker has been in wonderful form, which has made all the clubs to stand up and take note of him.

There have been ongoing rumors about his transfer to Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United, Liverpool, Spurs and most recent being an £85 million move to the Spanish giants, Real Madrid.

All the top-flight teams will be looking forward to do good business in the upcoming January transfer window as the second half of the season will be the decisive one. Teams will also try to strengthen their squads for the upcoming Champions League knockout stages as injuries will start taking their toll.

Recently, Erling Haaland was rumored to be travelling to Manchester for a possible deal with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team as the manager-striker duo worked earlier together at Molde and did extremely well.

Ole has already shown interest in signing the in-form teen but according to him, only time will tell where he goes. Rumors of Solskjaer traveling to Salzburg were also caught with him not completely denying them.

Ole chose to divert the topic elsewhere and praised the youngster. He said,” The player knows where he wants to go.”

He also denied about Haaland’s visit to Manchester for any kind of transfer talk, claiming to know his friends and also being confident about the fact that he’s on a Christmas holiday.

RB Leipzig, the current Bundesliga leaders have also contacted Haaland for a possible move.

However, Real Madrid boss, Zinedine Zidane, in a recent interview made it clear that the club is not in pursuit of another striker with their newly signed striker Luka Jovic being a brilliant second option to Karim Benzema.

Even Jose Mourinho seems to be happy with his squad and is always of the view that the club has a world-class striker in Harry Kane and the squad does not need any reinforcements.

Out of all the rumors mentioned above, a move to the struggling Manchester United looks like the probable option, considering the striker’s relations with Ole and a dearth of striking firepower at Old Trafford.
