The Swiss has been in fantastic form. After beginning with a tough loss to Dominic Thiem, he bounced back to oust Matteo Berrettini in straight sets. In a do-or-die encounter against his arch-rival Novak Djokovic, Federer came out on top.

The stats were stupendous for Roger. 23 winners, 12 aces and 5 unforced errors as he put in a powerful performance. Though Djokovic is known as one of the best returners in the game, he had no answers to Federer's aggressive display.

"There was a lot riding on the match". " I think I served great, had great anticipation, a clear game plan and it worked to perfection tonight, it was a great performance tonight from me,” said Federer after winning against Djokovic in straight sets.

Tsitsipas too has not put a foot wrong so far. A versatile game, high-first serve percentage and composure have been his biggest plus points.

"My body feels well currently, I do not feel pain anywhere, I feel fresh, honestly, after having a long, difficult match like this, I feel like I can go out and play tomorrow the same way. So I do not have any problem with that", said Tsitsipas after losing in three sets to Nadal.

The clash of generations has taken tennis to the next level. While Federer has the experience, Tsitsipas has the exuberance.

The crowd will be pumped up to witness history in the making.
