Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi lands himself in big trouble

Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi was arrested this weekend after breaking lockdown rules to meet a model at his London home. The teenager is the latest name on the list of Premier League footballers accused of being in breach of England’s lockdown regulations, designed to slow the spread of the coronavirus.

The Sun reported that his arrest came after the model called the emergency services for the police and an ambulance in the early hours of the morning. The Metropolitan Police said, “Police and London Ambulance Service were called at 03:53 hrs on Sunday 17 May to report of an unwell woman.”

The model was taken to the hospital while the Chelsea teen was arrested and was contained in police custody. Reports suggest that the meeting between the two ‘turned sour’ with no other information provided. Hudson-Odoi is one of the few footballers who tested positive for the virus and the winger’s test was revealed a few months ago.

Another source told The Sun that the woman had arrived at around 8 pm on Saturday and also described the building as ‘crawling with police’ for much of Sunday. As far as Chelsea are concerned, a public statement is yet to be released. However, it is very clear that the player will face some consequences definitely.

Being a professional player and having contracted the virus once already, breaking the government guidelines was totally unexpected. The player is expected to get a potential pay-cut along with some other punishment as Premier League football is set to return in the coming weeks.

However, a ban is very unlikely as Chelsea will need the winger for the crucial games as the race for the top-four finish is very tight and Frank Lampard would not take any kind of risks that may cost him or his team any more problems.
