Manchester City moves six points clear at top of the table after handing Manchester United a humiliating 4-1 defeat at Etihad Stadium.

It was very obvious that Manchester City would dominate the match and soak up United’s pressure which they did with ease. 

Manchester City opened the scoring within five minutes of the start of the contest through Kevin De Bruyne, who scored another goal minutes to put Manchester City in the driving seat after United scored an equalizer when Jadon Sancho curled the ball inside the bottom right corner. 

City’s Riyad Mahrez then added the third goal as City went 3-1 up, and it looked like the game would end with a 3-1 score, but Mahrez had other plans as he added the fourth goal and Manchester City completed the 4-2 routing of United.

Ederson: Did not face much threat today and could have done a little to avoid Sancho’s goal. 6/10

Kyle Walker: Managed to keep up with Jadon Sancho but will be disappointed as he was dribbled past by Sancho, which led to a goal. 6/10. 

John Stones: Was untroubled during the entire game as City were in United’s half most of the time. 5/10.

Bernardo Silva: The Portuguese were seen everywhere on the field and created great opportunities for his teammates. 8/10.

Rodri: Great backup for the Manchester City’s defenders and held his shape brilliantly also made key challenges. 8/10. 

Kevin De Bruyne⭐ Man of the Match. City’s most important player on the field, always looking to create something out of nowhere and attained his reward with two goals and two assists.

Victor Lindelof: Phil Foden made a fool out of him as he got better off him in many situations. 2/10. 

Harry Maguire: Lack of concentration in the game and was humiliated by City’s players. It looked like he was playing for the first time. 2/10. 

Alex Telles: Too slow and takes too much time on the ball, which led to City’s second goal. 2/10. 

Fred: Put a little effort in the game but was too slow to outsmart City’s players. 3/10. 

Scott McTominay: He was an invisible player for Manchester United; it looked like United were playing with ten men. 2/10. 

Anthony Elanga: All he does is run on the pitch; that’s all he knows about football. 2/10. 

Bruno Fernandes: He had a frustrating night as he failed to stamp his authority. 4/10. 

Paul Pogba: Rangnick made a poor decision by playing him where he is uncomfortable, but he did put a little effort. 5/10. 

Jadon Sancho: He did his best, and the positive side is he’s slowly picking up his form at United. 7/10.
