Rampant Ronaldo fires Juventus to the top of the Serie A table

Cristiano Ronaldo continued his fine form as he struck twice for Juventus as they went three points clear off rivals Inter Milan by defeating Parma 2-1 at the Allianz Stadium.

Ronaldo opened his account after his deflected shot went past the keeper just two minutes before the end of the first half. The Turin-based club were tested by Parma as Andreas Cornelius headed the ball in from a corner in the 55th minute as the scoreline came to 1-1.

But there was no stopping the 34-year old as he restored his team's lead with a low strike in the 58th minute. Now the goal tally has risen to 16 league goals in which he scored an astonishing 11 in just 7 appearances.

The Former Real Madrid man is the second ever Juventus player to score in 7 consecutive Serie A fixtures after David Trezeguet who did that back in December 2005. In addition to this, He has also become the only player to score atleast 15 goals in the 14 straight campaigns.

Last season, the veteran scored 21 goals for Juventus and now his 16 goal haul stands second behind Serie A top scorer Ciro Immobile. The Italian has been on a scintillating form for Lazio and he has added 23 to his tally.

Inter were held to a 1-1 draw away to Leece on Sunday which saw them drop points and the Bianconeri used the advantage in a fine manner by winning the clash against Parma.

In addition to Ronaldo's red hot form, co-attacker Dybala has also been more productive this season. With 11 goals to his account, he and Ronaldo have been causing troubles to Serie A defenders. The Myth that the star duo can't play together is always being disproved again and again.

Juventus Manager Maurizio Sarri stated in the post-match press conference that:

"We have a champion (Ronaldo) who sometimes creates a problem for you but solves 100 of them," . "The rest of the team has to revolve around him."

"It seems to me that Dybala is doing the best things this year with everyone, he is always doing well,"

"With him and Ronaldo, we have fewer players in the middle, but lately with them both we have always created and scored.

"I consider it a myth that the two of them have difficulty playing together, Cristiano is also scoring and I don't see any problems whatsoever. They also scored with Gonzalo, so I don't see any problems.
