AFCON 2022 Semi-Final: Cameroon vs Egypt Head-to-Head Prediction

In one of the thrilling encounters of the African Cup of Nations, hosts Cameroon will face Egypt at the Olembe Stadium on Thursday evening. 

Cameroon have been an excellent force in the African Cup of Nations, as they are yet to taste a defeat, winning twice and drawing once in their all group games. While in the round of 16, they secured a 2-1 victory over Comoros before seeing off the Gambia in the quarterfinals. 

The Host nation's star players Vincent Aboubakar and Karl Toko Ekambi have been wreaking havoc on opponents’ defence, scoring a combined 11 goals.

While the Pharaohs had their fair share as they struggled to get through the group games but made amends in the knockout stage and quarterfinals, as they overcame potent Ivory Coast on penalties and needed extra time to win 2-1 over Morocco. 

Again, their star striker Mohamed Salah was on the headlines as he bagged an assist and a goal against Morocco.

Cameroon vs Egypt: Prediction 

This will be an entertaining contest as both African’s powerhouses will battle it out for the final spot on Thursday. Cameroon have been spectacular with their star striker Aboubakar upfront. 

While Egypt also have their own ‘Egyptian king’ Mohamed Salah, who will be confident ahead of this fixture after a top-notch display against Morocco. But the Pharaohs have struggled to win games, which Cameroon have done with ease. 

We expect the host to edge past Egypt with a 3-2 scoreline.
