Romelu Lukaku who re-joined Chelsea from Inter-Milan in a staggering club-record fee of £97.5 million was in the spotlight after his opening game against Arsenal.

Before tapping in his first goal for Chelsea from a Reece James low cross, the Belgian brought down Arsenal defender Mari to the ground in a physical duel before tapping home. 

He also contributed in the build-up to Reece James’ goal before half-time which was Chelsea's second of the game.  

Chris Sutton was impressed by Lukaku’s game vs Arsenal, he said ‘With Romelu Lukaku in place, Thomas Tuchel’s side are now very serious contenders for the Premier League title”. 

“You wondered how sharp Lukaku would be on his return to London, but it looks like he is up to speed straight away”.

‘He bullied Pablo Mari – it was such a mismatch that it looked as though Lukaku was playing against a 12-year-old”.
