AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup Thailand 2025 champions Iran opened the scoring but couldn’t hold back a determined Belarus, who battled back to secure a place in the semi-finals, where they will face either Senegal or Italy.

Belarus goalkeeper Mikhail Avgustov nearly gave his side a spectacular start, rattling the Iranian crossbar with a thunderous volley. However, it was Iran who struck first, with Mohammad Masoumi finishing off a precise pass from Ali Mirshekari just before the end of the opening period.
In the second period, Ihar Bryshtsel leveled the score from the penalty spot after winning the foul himself. He then gave Belarus the lead early in the third period with a composed finish.
Bryshtsel earned another penalty soon after, but this time Seyedmohammad Dastan produced a crucial save to keep Iran in the contest.
The respite was brief. Yahor Hardzetski lit up the match with a stunning overhead kick, and Anatoliy Ryabko added a powerful header to put Belarus three goals clear.
Iran mounted a late comeback with goals from Masoumi and Movahed Mohammadpour, but Belarus held firm to seal a memorable victory and a place in the final four.
