Liverpool vs RB Leipzig 2nd Leg Preview and Prediction: The Puskas Arena Venue

With both sides being unfortunate to make the most of their homes, Liverpool and RB Leipzig visit the Puskas Arena again to battle it out in the UCL 2021 Round of 16.

Liverpool vs RB Leipzig: Preview

Liverpool and Klopp would hope that they enjoy the same result they receded last time,  despite the team not being at their usual best, something that they have toiled for but have failed to establish until now.

The first leg meeting between the sides was a rare pill of relief for the Reds since the turn of the year but they are back at the same ground but this time, it will be considered as the Reds' home in the UCL clash between the two.

Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 20 home games against the German outfits but their dismal form at Anfield could be given a new twist, with a positive result at home.'

Liverpool and RB Leipzig: Recent Form

Liverpool lost their sixth consecutive home game at Anfield, the worst record the club has recorded over the club's 129-year history.

Not just that, Liverpool are yet to score a goal from open play at home this year, something Klopp could've never even imagined at the same time last year.

Liverpool have only won two of their last six games in all competitions, losing all the rest. Julian Nagelsmann's Leipzig have an altogether different form at the moment, succumbing in only one of their last six games in all competitions.

Leipzig would want to come out with the flying colors or a probable scoreline that overcomes the aggregate score between the two sides.

Leipzig need a 3-0 victory, the same they managed over Freiburg in the Bundesliga. They would also want to make sure that any sort of unforced errors are avoided, especially when it has already cost them two goals in the first leg.

Liverpool vs RB Leipzig: Team News

Roberto Firmino is a doubt. Sadio Mane is expected to make his comeback into the starting XI, while Klopp may still try to give this UCL tie an X-factor in the name of Diogo Jota.

Mohamed Salah is expected to start too, while Naby Keita will have some scores to settle against his ex-club.

Virgil Van Dijk is still far from a return.

For Leipzig, Angelino is out with a thigh problem, Marcel Sabitzer and Willi Orban are also doubts.

Liverpool Probable Playing XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Phillips, Kabak, Robertson; Thiago, Fabinho, Wijnaldum; Jota, Salah, Mane

RB Leipzig Probable Playing XI: Gulacsi; Mukiele, Upamecano, Klostermann; Adams, Sabitzer, Kampl, Olmo, Halstenberg; Sorloth, Nkunku

Liverpool vs RB Leipzig Prediction

Hopefully, Nagelsmann would think smartly and set up a side that can make a difference to the tie, exacerbating Liverpool's progress in the next round of the UCL.

Both the teams would be desperate for the points for different reasons but it is Liverpool who would want to come out on top at any cost.
