President Ramkalawan Confident as Seychelles Set for 2025 Beach Soccer World Cup
President Wavel Ramkalawan of the Republic of Seychelles chaired the final coordination meeting with the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), key partners, and stakeholders in preparation for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2025.
Held at State House, the meeting confirmed that Seychelles is fully prepared, with all operational areas at 100% readiness for the historic tournament. President Ramkalawan expressed his deep satisfaction with the progress made, affirming the nation's readiness to host a truly world-class event.

The President commended the exceptional dedication, unity, and professionalism demonstrated by the Local Organizing Committee, government ministries, private sector partners, volunteers, and all supporting agencies. He highlighted their collaborative spirit as a driving force behind the successful preparations, setting a strong foundation for an unforgettable global sporting event.
“Our preparations are complete. Seychelles is ready to welcome the world. I am extremely proud of the dedication shown by everyone and confident that we will deliver an unforgettable FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2025. It is now time to showcase our island spirit, unity, and hospitality on the global stage,” stated President Ramkalawan.
The final coordination meeting concluded with comprehensive updates across all key sectors—including infrastructure, security, transport, accommodation, health services, ceremonies, and overall event logistics. Stakeholders reaffirmed their full operational readiness and expressed enthusiastic support as the tournament approaches.
The FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Seychelles 2025—the first edition ever hosted on African soil—will officially kick off on 1st May 2025, bringing together 16 of the world’s top beach soccer nations for an exciting celebration of sport, culture, and unity.
