Champions League is Europe's biggest club competition in the world of football, and there's no hiding the fact that every team from every part of the world wants to contest in it.

The teams who participate in the UCL not only gain popularity but also get significant boosts financially. After a successful group stage conclusion amid the coronavirus pandemic, the Champions League Round of 16 stage of 2021 was also carried out successfully.

Some countries had travel restrictions, but thanks to Hungary's Puskas arena that served as home and away ground for several teams in the competition. 

Now most people will be aware of the scorelines and the teams that were knocked out of the competition, and that's why we at Sportco present some unique stats from the Champions League Round of 16 in 2021.

Out of the eight Round of 16 Champions League fixtures, only FC Porto managed to proceed to the quarter-finals despite playing the first leg at home.

In all the other cases, teams that played the first leg at home were knocked out of the competition.
